Looe is reached by road via the A38 and then the A387 from Liskeard. The Looe Valley Line runs from Liskeard to Looe, a scenic journey through the countryside that takes about 30 minutes, with regular trains. Plymouth, the nearest major city, is about 20 miles east and has a mainline railway station and an airport; from there you can drive or take a train to Liskeard and change for Looe. Buses connect Looe with Liskeard, Polperro and other nearby towns. Once in town, Looe is small enough to explore on foot, and East Looe and West Looe are a few minutes apart over the bridge. Local buses and taxis run too, and parking can be limited in peak season.
