Getting there and around
Lowestoft is served by Lowestoft railway station, the terminus of the East Suffolk Line from Ipswich, with connections to London Liverpool Street via Ipswich. The town is also on the A12 from London and the A47 from Norwich. By road, the A12 runs through the town, crossing Lake Lothing via the bascule bridge. When to go
Summer months, from June to August, bring the warmest weather and the main holiday season, when the beach and Claremont Pier are busiest. Spring and autumn are quieter, with mild temperatures suitable for walking and visiting the Broads.
